Berghotel Malta - Malta

Located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park at an altitude of 1,933 meters, the Berghotel Malta is right next to Austrias highest dam, the Kölnbreinsperre, with the Kölnbrein reservoir - one of the most popular starting points for hikes and alpine tours.

The Berghotel offers three room categories. The variable comfort double rooms, around 20 m² in size, can be used as double or twin rooms. Some rooms have an additional couch for up to 1 child under 12 years or a connecting door.

Our superior rooms offer plenty of space, around 45 m², with a pull-out couch for 2 children, a desk, an entrance area and a spacious bathroom.

Our SPA suite with lake view and private sauna is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults.

All rooms have a bathroom with shower, a flat-screen TV, free WiFi, a guest app, a wake-up service and a radio.

Dogs are welcome in selected rooms in the Berghotel.

The restaurant serves Austrian and regional specialties. Vegan and vegetarian dishes as well as gluten and lactose-free products are also part of our offer.

Free private parking and a motorbike garage are available, and the toll fee for the Malta Hochalmstraße is included in the room rate.

For a minimum stay of 2 nights, the Kärnten Card is included in the room rate. This card offers free entry to over 100 attractions in Carinthia.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.

Please note that the hotel is only accessible via the Malta-Hochalmstraße, a toll road. The road can be used free of charge by hotel guests; please present your booking confirmation at the toll station.
